A couple of Saturdays ago, I found a candleabra that I knew would not stay in its brassy shape.
So, after purchasing some spray paint called 'Ballet Slipper", this is what it looks like now...........

ReplyDeleteI have to laugh about posting some other color than pink. I tend to go pink, but then I might cheat and add another color or two. Today, I posted a good bit of pink! I made sure my background color was theme appropriate. LOL!
I hope you find lots of good stuff at your sale. Wish I were going with you!

ReplyDeleteTo play devils advocate here...I have on my blog posted a picture of something which is pink, a lamp that I got when I was 10, she is not as pink as she once was back in the 60's, and when I took a picture of her, she came out looking tan, or light brown..If I had posted this, you would have thought I too was a wee bit off color...but she is pink, faded but pink. Now if they posted something blue,green,or red then I could see your angst about this, they were not playing the meme right. justified. Looking forward to your next thrift shop excursion as always..Have a great w/e.
Charlotte I must say I stopped going to Pink Sat and just hope the blogs I follow post something! I found it very frustrating. Just not for me and I am a life long PINK girl. That said love what you did with that candleholder! I will be getting some of that paint. Brand? if you know it? please..... Have a great yard sale day.

Since i saw your candle holder I keep looking for something similiar to it . My daughter Gwen and I did some yard sales this moring . I found a great picture for fifty-cents and some baby clothes gor the great grandchildren.

That turned out really pretty. I was just looking at Ballet Slipper in Wal Mart the other day. Love the color...I just might need to paint something for my girl's room.
