What next?

Thanks for the comments regarding the sock yarn. It is soft and I'm sure it would make a great baby blanket if you can find the right colors. I had completed the third round (or so I thought) and was starting the fourth when I stumbled. Something just didn't look right! Then I discovered I had made pentagons (5 sides) when I should have made hexagons (6 sides)! Aaarrrrggghhh! So after ripping out round 3, I started over and it does look better. :-)

The pentagons can be used on the head or arms or legs (I hope).

The ice maker in our french door refrigerator has been out of commission for about 4 months now. To top it off, it is a discontinued item and we cannot find another! I thought I had found one last week but received an e-mail this morning that is not available. Damn, damn, damn! I'm going to check into a new refrigerator later today. Great! Another bill!

Hope the rest of the day goes better!

  1. I hope you don't have to have a new fridge but it sounds like if you want an icemaker it's in the cards. Damn! (I agree)

Just so you won't think you're the only one who has made that mistake -- I did the same thing just two days ago and had to start all over again. UGH!

    Hugs!

  5. New refrigerator here too this month! The old one (about 8 yrs old) wasn't consistently keeping things cool and then the ice maker went out too. Sears had a sale and 12 month no interest so we looked at their choices online and then went to the store to look at them in person. Hope things work out for you.

  7. Ouch on both fronts! I hate it when I make mistakes like that and have to start over. And it's never fun having to shell out a lot of money for a new appliance. I hope your weekend gets better soon.
    Blessings,
    Kate

  8. I feel your pain....3 days after moving in our new house, a storm hit, blipped the electricity and killed our fridge. It would cost more to fix than it was worth so we bought a new one. Love it but had no plans on that expense!
