Hookin' on Hump Day

I have been busy the last few days cleaning my craft room and taking care of grandsons. Since I had no crochet project going, I cleaned my craft room and finally found the floor! Before.......

And after.....................This is not where I actually craft but where I store my supplies...

I started a potholder so I wouldn't fall asleep while watching TV. Pattern found here. This is a vintage potholder pattern from Maggie Weldon. Faith at Crochet by the Sea had posted about this potholder and I discovered that I had the pattern but had never made it.
I think there are a few mistakes in the back pattern, so I am making another to see if the error is mine or the pattern.
Here is the wooden jewelry box that I bought at a yard sale Saturday.....
....and here it is after a paint job.........

What are you up to?

  1. Hi Charlotte, I looked around my craft room and it is an absolute mess!! Thanks for reminding me that I have to re arrange it. Lovely potholder. The jewellery case is looking spiffy after the paint job. And what can be more precious than crochet hooks...right? Of course they need a jewellery box. :)
    Love.

  2. There is a mistake in the pattern. I have made it a couple of times and you just have to wing it. LOVE your stash room. Are those notebooks full of crochet patterns? I want to come and play at your house!!!!
