Sleepy Poets Antique shopping

Thanks for your support! The AC should be repaired sometime today. We also had to call the satellite repairman back out again yesterday. This time he replaced the satellite dish and so far, so good. We basically have a brand new system!

I had a great time with my sister yesterday. We went to Sleepy Poets in Charlotte. We got there at 11:30 and didn't come out until 2:30! Lots of beautiful things and ideas...

Well, finally got the satellite issue fixed (crossed fingers). So far, that is! Then the AC went out again! Luckily, the repairman came back out and got it running. The only problem is they had to bypass the heat cycle to get the AC to work and now it is constantly running! They are supposed to come back and fix it right this time. When it rains, it pours!
My sister and I are going to go antiquing later today. I can't wait! It's been a long time since I have been to an antique store.

WTF is going on??

I am so ready to scream right now! We have been having to put up with this message from our satellite provider for a week now....

We have had technicians come out and basically replace everything, but it hasn't helped! Two technician managers are supposed to come out this afternoon. I hope they can get this fixed! This doesn't happen on all channels and after 5-20 minutes, the channel will come on. But I want to watch it when I switch!
Here is my latest project almost finished.....

No, it's not a new bra for Madonna! It's a crochet version of a dodecahedron (what the hell is that?). Pattern found here.
Justin has been working on adding a pantry in my laundry room. It used to be part of the back porch that was only used for storing garbage cans. Loving the black and white floor!

I plan to use it to store appliances not used regularly, paper towels, toilet paper, soft drinks, etc. I want to use a screen door as the door. After this is completed, we are going to paint the laundry room the same color and add the same flooring.
I was asked if I felt any different after the ear coning and Aqua Chi treatment. I think it is all in my mind, but just knowing all that gunk is no longer in my body, makes me feel better.

I hope this doesn't turn your stomach, but you have got to see this! Today instead of a massage, I experienced an 'ear-coning' session. A cone is lit at one end and inserted into the ear canal. The smoke helps release the wax or yeast. This causes a vacuum that 'sucks' the wax into the cone.

This is not me! I wish I looked this good! 

Here is what this process removed from my ears....

Yuck! The top half is from my left ear and the bottom half is from the right ear. Those 'hunks' are ear wax! Hope this helps with the ringing! While this was being done, my therapist started telling me about the benefits of an Aqua Chi treatment. I have seen this done at shows, but have never had one. I can't explain this one except you place your feet in salt water and the thing you see with wires starts removing the negative ions. So after my ear coning, I had the Aqua Chi treatment. You would not believe the toxins that came out of my body! The first photo is after we first started and shows toxins from my bladder, kidneys, and liver...

 Ignore the cellulite!! :-) The next two photos is almost the end of the treatment. See the 'oil slick'? That is from inflammations!

After this sewer water was dumped, the ring around the tub showed that I live a healthy life. I hope you didn't lose your lunch, but I wanted everyone to see what I experienced today. I texted my husband with this picture and told him "No longer full of shit!"  :-)

Lolo finished

WooHoo! Finally finished the Lolo African Flower Bear last night. The hardest part was connecting the arms and legs. If I make another I will have to purchase a better needle than the soft sculpture needle I borrowed from mother.

Happy 14th birthday to my grandson, Gavin. I was the first person to see him when he was born and carried him to the nursery.

 He's such a clown! He keeps us all laughing!

 I didn't go watch my son wrestle last night because I can't stand seeing someone else hitting him even though I know it is all staged. Here's a picture Micki took....

The AC is back on! The window units helped but not like the central air.

When it rains, it pours!

Remember last week when I asked, "What next"? Well, it's gotten worse! First, my brother-in-law was bitten by a copperhead!

He's OK but had to stay overnight at the hospital. His dogs woke him up barking and he stepped out onto his porch and was bit. Makes you shudder, doesn't it?

Now, here is the worse.......our AC quit last night! We slept with a fan in the window and one at the foot of the bed. Thank God the storm that went through last night cooled it off a little. The repairman said the board shorted out and it will be possibly tomorrow before it can be fixed. Ugh! This is what I look like right now :-)

I guess I'll just have to stay in the pool today (wink,wink). Hope you are staying cool!

It's trying to rain, but it has been so hot that the raindrops evaporate as soon as they hit the ground! Hope it cools off!
