The car is packed!

Hot, hot, hot! But that didn't stop me and my sister from hunting yard sales! Gavin and Sloan went with us today and we had the car packed by the time we got home. Sister Pam is loading more goodies while Gavin goofs off.

Sloan had to have his picture taken also. He and Gavin found some deer antlers at a yard sale.

This is what my car looked like when we got home...

Isn't this a precious little chair? Pam talked the lady down from $20 to $15.

She got this Rainbow vacuum for $10!

I love this rag doll for $2....

"S" is for Sloan, "H" is for Huffman, and "J" is for Justin....50 cents each. The styrofoam cone was $1. Christmas project in mind...

Globe for $3 and stainless lazy susan for $2........

Two pair of antlers for $4 ...................

A wooden bread box for $3. I'm going to paint and use as storage on my countertop. Possibly for a small appliance, coffee cups, etc. Don't know exactly what just yet.

 A tripod lamp for $3...........................

The boys got these deer pictures ...$3 for this small one....

............and $8 for this large one.........................

Sloan got a pair of flippers and several cars.......................

This stool just kept screaming for me to take it home for $1.........going to paint later...

How did you do this morning?

Rose Scallop doily finished

Finished the Rose Scallop doily! It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be and I learned a new stitch. Have you ever heard of a 'fork stitch"? I hadn't but after several tries, I got the hang of it. The only problem I had was when I got to the 36th row, I discovered that I had crocheted the 34th row incorrectly. So I had to rip out back to where I made the boo-boo. Hard to keep your mind on your crochet and watch 'Pretty Little Liars' at the same time. How do you like it?

I want to thank Linda for sharing this pattern with me.

My grandson, Gavin, said "Now you don't have an excuse to go to Michael's". DAMN!

I'm bored!

I've been keeping the grandsons this past week while their parents are working. Gavin was bored! I had some wooden puzzles that I had purchased at Michael's and this kept him busy for several hours.

I've finished 19 rows so far on the Rose Scallop doily. I'm using size 20 thread only because I had 4 balls and didn't want to run out. I'm also making it all white for the first one and will try color on the next one.

Have a great weekend.

Square Pineapple Doily

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes! My kids, grandkids, and hubby made my day very special.
I finished this doily yesterday. It is from an Annie's Attic book, Pineapples Through the Home.

I tried using different colors and think it worked out OK.
Thanks to Linda for sending me the pattern for the doily I saw on her blog.  Here.

59 and holding.....on for dear life!

Today is also my daddy's birthday. He would have been 85. Happy Birthday, daddy! Love and miss you.

I bought this level to put in my toolbox..50 cents. Justin said these cost $12 at Lowe's! It's magnetic! I have it on the side of my refrigerator for now.

A pair of Bobbie Brooks shorts and a top to match for $1 each. Still had the tags on them!
Here's my latest crochet project. I finally made some crochet 'wristers'. Pattern here.

I saw this doily on Linda's Crochet page. Does anyone know where I can find the pattern? I am going to continue to search on Ravelry and other sites. I would be willing to pay for this pattern.

Have a great weekend.
