Yard Sale loot

First, I want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day. My kids are going to fix dinner for me today. Micki was unable to go to yard sales with me yesterday because she had to work the books for Gavin's ballgame yesterday morning. Bless their hearts, they lost again. But they are really trying.
Janet went with me to yard sales and my best deal of the day is the first photo. Two captain's chairs for $5 apiece. They are heavy and have nothing wrong with them! WooHoo!

Even got the cushion thrown in for free! The marlin (not real) is going outside by the pool.

And the Titanic life preserver ring..

I don't buy sheets from the store when you can find a whole set (king) for $3!

Crazy duck, an elephant,Snow White and dwarfs, Dopey,Thelma and Fred, flamingo, tiny grater, a tea ball and a goofy looking thing-a-ma-bob...
Angelica from the Rugrats. Micki took her and the Disney characters.
Toucan mug (has a 1986 date on bottom) , blue teacup and saucer are from Avon and a beautiful pink iradescent set from Japan. 50cents to $1 apiece.
A small box with drawers that I will use somewhere in my craft room. The daisy pin on top and the packaged appliques were 25 cents apiece. I used to have a daisy pin like this when I was in high school except mine was white and yellow. Can you guess who's going to get the butterflies?
Two 5x7 mirrors. Can't go a yard sale without getting a mirror!
A cherry cake candle, a bell and a stand to put the Betty Boop figurine that I bought several weeks ago.
This looks like a compact but is actually a pill holder!

Butterfly suncatcher for guess who? The lady wanted $5 and I put it back. After looking at the rest of her stuff and getting ready to leave, she told me I could have it for $1! Score!
The lady that sold me this ice crusher for $3 said it belonged to her mother-in-law and she had to be in her 60's.So it has some age.
Hope no one is offended but I love these black figures, especially the old man.
A siilk rose. I already have a white one and have given a pink one to Mother.
I bought these pictures for the frames. 25 cents apiece.
Little Red Riding Hood, The Monster at the end of the book and a old school book titled "Anything can happen".
Look at the copyright dates!
Great graphics!

And last but not least, a crochet book from Better Homes and Garden (has beautiful tablecloth patterns), a book with illustrations and two crochet magazines from the 70's. When did the 70's become vintage? The Weight Watchers cookbook is for my sister,Tammy, who is going to WW. She comes out every afternoon to help Mother with her bath and then we walk for exercise. She is 17 years younger than me and has always been like another daughter.

Until next Saturday.

Hi Charlotte,
I love, love, love all your finds, Those chairs are just gorgeous.
I could kick myself..yesterday at the thrift store, I looked through some older pattern books to see if there was any crafts..anyway, I left some crochet magazines from the 70's there. Seems I just do afghans anymore and don't use the crochet thread. I never thought about you maybe wanting magazines like that. I'll try to get back Tuesday and see if there're still there and get them for you.
Hugs and Happy Mothers Day...I hope it's filled with everyone you love..

I was drooling over your lawn sale finds, especially the white daisy pin. I used to have one in high school. I wonder where it went. I also love the old childrens books, the graphics are fabulous. I stpped by today to say thank you for your sweet comments about the shower. The photos did not do justice to tablescape. The ladies all loved the flower shoes as they called them. Remember, we are in Maine, and they kept remarking that the shoes looked like they came from New York City. I had fun. Thanks again for your comments.
