Ugh!

This flu has really got a hold on me. I don't even want to crochet! My family will tell you if I don't want to crochet, I'm really sick!

Sunday news

Yep! Unfortunately the flu bug caught me! Body aches, chills, headache, cough. At least I'm not throwing up or have diarrhea! I didn't even feel like crocheting last night but I did finish a pair of booties to go with the christening dress.

I thought it was just a sinus headache yesterday and was glad to get out of the house and go junkin' with Pam. We went to an antique mall in Charlotte first. The only thing I got was this salt and pepper set. It's a reproduction but they're what I've been hunting.

Then we went to Pineville to the Black Lion store. I got this bird to put in one of my yard sale birdcages.

I'm going to go back and get some to wallpaper as my backsplash in the kitchen!

On the way home, we stopped at the Goodwill store. I found two skeins of Lionbrand Homespun yar and the wicker pumpkin for 99 cents each!

 I found this wooden church at the Goodwill a couple of weeks ago. It's a music box that plays Amazing Grace.

Well, I'm sitting here watching a Dr. Pol marathon and drinking plenty of fluids. If my ears would stop ringing, I might feel better.

Saturday News

Cold and rainy! Snow in Columbia! Yuck! No yard sales today! Power went off this morning about 6:20! It woke me up because the fan stopped running! No white noise! I was planning on sleeping late this morning!
 Hope everyone had a great Halloween. Living in the country, we don't get a lot of trick-or-treaters. Just the family kids.

Sloan and Gavin didn't go trick-or-treating this year. Poor Gavin had his wisdom teeth cut out yesterday!

He was scared he was going to talk crazy but he did good. His jaws are swollen and makes him look like a chipmunk!

 My latest crochet project is the New Orleans Saints logo for Sloan.

The sun is starting to come out but it's still cold and windy. Hope tomorrow's weather is better.

Feeling better

Finally I can breathe without wheezing! I still have a choking cough but it's not as bad as it had been. I didn't feel like even crocheting, but did work on a little each day. I finished the entrelac crochet throw using the hoard of kitchen cotton yarn. I still have a lot left.

I made Pam's grand daughter, Vivien, a pair of fingerless gloves......

The Southern Christmas Show starts today and I'm looking forward to going Sunday.

Starting to slowly feel better

I went back to the urgent center yesterday because my larynx was still closing when I coughed. I was given a breathing treatment and felt somewhat better. Doctor prescribed a nebulizer and a steroid. Amazing how this treatment improves breathing.

 I finally got some sleep last night and when I got up my hair looked like this............

Walking Pneumonia!

Woke up coughing last night and unable to breathe! Justin took me to the Urgent Care and I was told I have "walking pneumonia"! My larynx was having spasms and that is why I couldn't breathe! Scary!
So, now I have permission to rest, take hot, steamy showers, and drink carbonated drinks! Hope you have a great weekend! (cough, cough)
