Junkin' Treasures

This weekend was HOT!!! But Janet and I were able to find some good deals at yard sales. We had a couple of church sales to go to first. These are always productive. The first church was near our home and the lady who runs it always has good things to look at and buy. Good prices too! Outside of the building were several pieces of furniture and this sport chair. 50 cents!!! It has a little mildew but otherwise in good shape.

Christmas decorations...

These were from different yard sales. Isn't the little trinket box beautiful?
I have never seen a 'conehead' before!
I found a "chairy" from PeeWee's Playhouse!
More glassware...

Butterfly bowl for Holly.

Baby gift bags...25 cents each.
A "Mother" plate....
This is the back of the plate...59 cents!
A little golden book...1954..
Picture frames ..the 2 black ones were 10 cents each, the baby one was 20 cents and the red one was $1!!!
A tapestry sampler...25 cents
The back of the tapestry...
Tiebacks..$1 each
A wiffle bat and ball for the boys. I found several Star Wars coloring books, a Star Wars video game, a model car kit and several other goodies for the boys. I had already dropped their goodies off before I got to take pictures.
I thought this would be a good find but it was actually my worst deal of the day. I gave $3 for all of these 45's, but there wasn't any good records in this pile. I'm going to let Justin sell them in his yard sale he plans on having this coming weekend.
We found several costumes and got this harem outfit for my 4-year old niece, Olivia. It looks like a one piece, but it's actually two-piece.
We stopped at one house where I found my best deals. These people had no clue as to what they were selling! This beautiful platter for 50 cents...
This casserole dish for 25 cents. Looks like from the 50's....
25 cents!!!
And the best deal of the day............drum roll, please...........25 cents for this Hall gravy boat!!!!

Janet said, "I don't know why you pick up things like that." My reply was "Because I KNOW what I am picking up!!"
Hope your Saturday was as productive.

You sure got a lot of great deals! I really like that gravy boat.

Thanks for dropping by. We have a garage, but most of it is storing other stuff, so we have our garage sale in the driveway. So, when it rains it's hard to have it.

Have a good day!

Charlotte, You DID do your best at the last sale you hit! I love the gravy boat and the platter. That pitcher looks pretty interesting, too. Is it stoneware? Thanks for dropping by again! I'm taking a little break away from work to read mail. It's Monday! LOL

Love the items you found. We didn't have any luck this past weekend with finding anything much. I have to play piano for a wedding this Saturday, so not sure how many yard sales I'll be able to hit! I'm not moving, I'm just cleaning out! Need to de-clutter this place in the worst way! Thanks for stopping by!
