Yard sale blues

Another Saturday hunting yard sales and not finding many! I went by my self again this weekend but I didn't get lost this time! I spent $6.50!!! Wow! Bummer! I found a cutting board for $1, a Pyrex refrigerator bowl for $1, cookbook for $2, springform pan for 50 cents and a Club dutch oven for $2.

Oh well, there has to be a few bummer weeks, right? I'm currently working on an afghan for Ashton. After working with thread for so long, it feels strange to be using yarn. When I finish this, I'm going to make a pink one for Kayla. Not the same pattern, though.

Don't feel bad, I have not been to a a yard sale in weeks. Way too hot. Sounds fun to be making an afgahn just in time for Fall:) Thanks for joining in. Debbie

You always find the good stuff! I've been going to the fall church rummage sales that are just starting that tout they have lots of craft materials but usually that means one bag of used yarn balls.

nice finds.....I have only been to one this year, and that was next door..too hot..to run around in the car in/out in/out...pretty crochet project..I know what you mean, thread after yarn...I have to put my glasses on, because the hook is ssooooooootiny...and are the stitches..but the work exquisite. Happy saling to you!

Score for you with the Club ware. My mother had that stuff when we were kids and it lasted forever! Very heavy, the newer Club not so much. Good for long slow simmering this fall and winter. Love your crocheting! I wish you lived near me I would sign up for classes.

I can tell garage sale season is winding down. I haven't had too much luck either. I love the springfoam pan. BTW, the coke bottles I got last week are full size. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Not an entire loss-sometimes it's just leaner pickins than others-but the hunt is always fun!

I am so envious when I see you ladies post such wonderful finds at yard sales. The yard sales I find want 10.00 for a beat up, broken table that I wouldn't pay $5.00 for. You got some nice finds.

It's really hit and miss around here and it's definitely slowing down for the year. The refrigerater bowl is cute.
