On my hook..

I'm tired of working with yarn so I'm going to start crocheting with thread for a while. Here's a doily I made using DMC Cebelia thread. This was in the "yarn hoard" and I have never used this thread before. I really don't like it as well as Aunt Lydia's thread but it worked up pretty, didn't it?
This pattern is Espresso from Leisure Arts booklet 'Coffee and Cream Doilies'. Patricia Kristofferson designs.
 The color is minty green.
This is what's on my hook right now. "Kansas Lacy Pineapples" from Annie's Attic booklet 'Tablecloths in 1/2 the  time'. It uses size 3 thread, which I have never used. I really don't like this size thread because it's like using yarn.
What's on your hook?

Pretty doilies Charlotte. I have a baby blankie on my hook, but it's going slow. :)

Good Morning Charlotte, Your doilies are so pretty and I really like your afghan that you finished. The hands have to stay busy with something, right?, Nothing suits me better when it is raining and stormy if possible then working with my hands on a project. Have a wonderful day. It is weird how we all have a favorite thread..Me I love the DMC Cebelia #10. Takes awhile for your fingers to adjust to that smaller hook after working with yarn so much. I have some #3 thread here, I am not so sure I like it either. I bought it for a runner pattern that called for it. I am wondering if I used 2 strands of #10 would it work? Have a great day.

Very pretty doily! :) it's a good change to work with threads. Yes,size 3 is of yarn thickness and it doesn't give the delicate look the lacy thread work requires. I too don't like that size for thread patterns. But it is good for faster results.
