Things that go bump in the night!

What's worse than being awakened at 2 am by a loud noise?  Being awakened at 2 am by a loud noise and not being able to find out what made it! Justin and I sat straight up in bed early this morning by a loud 'boom". At first we thought Sloan had fallen off the couch ( he insists on sleeping there instead of the bunk bed). But when we investigated, he was still on the couch and still asleep! Maybe something fell? We checked every room but found nothing! Justin even went outside with the flashlight but again, nothing! We have no idea what made the noise, but we are still investigating.
Pam is at her cabin again this weekend and yard sales are slow, so Justin, the boys, and I went to the McConnell's Flea Market. I was able to find a few goodies...........
I only bought this because she was knitting ($1)................
 ...........fifty cents each.........................
Nightmare Before Christmas .........................fifty cents!

It opens up  (see at their waist?) and there is a pumpkin inside!

But my best find was this Jiminy Cricket by Jim Shore for fifty cents!!! SCORE!!
I've got it hanging wrong! There's a hook on his umbrella but I didn't see it until after I took the    pictures. :-(
Jim Shore went to the same high school that I did and was in the class four (I think) years before me! The York High Green Dragons are proud of his accomplishments!
So, that's my weekend so far...........how's yours going?

I hate hearing a noise and then can't find what it was - it's kind of scary. I like all your little knick-knacks you bought. :)

Must have been one of those things that go bump in the night..and your boy slept though it? You always find cool stuff at garage sales.

It's always a bit scary when a noise wakes you up in the middle if the night. Love the jiminy cricket. We held a stall at the Malvern flea market here in the UK a couple of weeks ago. It's a huge fair with indoor, drive in and outdoor pitches. It was great fun and we sold a few things too!! Xx
