Breaking Amish and other things..

I love my DVR! Because of it, I am able to watch shows that come on past my bedtime or while I'm watching something else. One of the shows I have gotten hooked on is Breaking Amish. The mother of one of the characters is a crocheter! Did anybody besides me see the beautiful afghan on the show last Sunday? It is all over Facebook and you know me, I'm going to find the pattern and make it. I thought sure with all of the crochet books I have I would have found it by now. So far, no luck. It's called Lacy Chevron by Leisure Arts and Ravelry has the pattern for $4.99, but I still hunted. Finally after searching on Pinterest I found a written pattern! Woo Hoo! Here's a picture of Mary Schmucker and her afghan (the blue one).....
Here's mine in progress.............
I finished a baby blanket that I had started and stopped........
Made with leftover baby yarn.....ran out of the blue and bought the pink and purple.....I made up the border........

Remember the metal bird I found at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago?
It flew the coop! No, what really happened was Sloan's pup has taken it somewhere!
I have searched everywhere and still can't find it! Damn dog! I'll be glad when he outgrows this puppy stage!
Have a great Sunday and stay cool!

Love both of the afghans. The baby one is really pretty - I like the wave pattern. The other one is going to be beautiful - I like the colors you chose. Have a good day. :)

Well done on finding the pattern and a great start to your new Afghan already.
You've been very productive with a lovely new baby Afghan all finished too.
I'm sure the bird will turn up at some point. I lost my house keys, been missing for 2 weeks now, I just can't find them anywhere, eeeek!
