Saturday news

What a weekend! Justin and I decided to go out to eat last night for our anniversary while the boys were at friend's houses. What a clusterfuck! Excuse my French, but it was a mess! We went first to the Texas Roadhouse steak-house and were told it would be an hour wait! So we left and tried another steakhouse, but another hour wait! Damn! So, we went to Cracker Barrel......only 20 minutes to wait. So we rocked on the front porch until our name was called. Even took a selfie........................
After we placed our order, we waited.....and waited............and waited! Seemed everybody else around us that had been seated after us were already eating! WTF? So, we got up and left, but not before Justin let the manager know how bad our service was. Back to Texas Roadhouse and another wait! But at least we had roasted peanuts and good music to keep us occupied. Another selfie.....................
Finally got seated and our order placed. We timed the service and was promptly brought our salads. Soon after, our steaks arrived only they were still 'mooing'! Justin insisted they take mine back, which they did. When they brought mine back (cooked this time!), I had them take Justin's back also. The manager came by and apologized for our steaks. She gave us a 'free appetizer' for our next visit, gave us Justin's steak free, and a free dessert for our anniversary! Thank you Texas Roadhouse! All we got from Cracker Barrel was "I'm sorry"!
This morning, Janet and I went yard saling. Found some goodies.................a 1967 Camaro for Sloan's collection...............$2
 ................drum set for Gavin......................50 cents
 ............Minnie Mouse plates for Della.....................$1
 ............a vintage knitted doily.......................$1

.............a Beanie Baby Cockatoo for me........25 cents.................
 .......................a primitive doll $1.......................
............a Beanie Baby poodle for Vivien .....50 cents..................
Even though the picture is blurry I think you understand! 50 cents.................
...............a wooden and fabric cat $1...............................................
 ............three little fishies...........ceramic.............50 cents................
 ..............a peacock...........$1......................
 .............three Mallard ducks...........50 cents each.....................

...............a large brass deer................50 cents..................
 ................ceramic flying ducks.............$1....................
..............a painting ............$1..........................(the ducks look good against it, don't they?)

That's it for now. Gonna order some pizza and put my feet up!

Sorry to hear about your troubles trying to get something to eat - I'm glad that it all worked out though. You always find nice things at the sales - I especially like that little poodle. Have a good evening - enjoy your pizza. :)

Sounds like you and Justin had quite the restaurant adventure for your anniversary. All is well that ends well, and I'm glad TRH was good to you! We've been fortunate and always had good service at the ones we've been to.

Love your Saturday finds! You always find such cool things! Yes, I said "cool". I supposed that makes me old. lol The kids would certainly think so. ;)

Have a great week!
