StitchyMcfloss asked how to do the 'fork stitch' that I posted about in the Rose Scallop doily post. Basically it's a trc with a dc done into the 2nd wrap from the hook. The one used in this doily had 3dc with ch1 between each. Once I got the hang of it, it was easy. I don't know if this is the proper term for this stitch, but that is what it was called in this pattern.

Now to what I am currently working on. I have always thought the doilies made from symbol charts were so beautiful but have never tried one until I got the Rose Scallop doily pattern. The pattern was both written and symbols, so it made it easier to understand. So I thought I would jump in with both feet and try a symbol doily. I have several patterns from Magic Crochet and Decorative Crochet magazines. I started working on a pattern called Floating Daisies from May 2001 Decorative Crochet magazine.
I was sailing along until I started making the little flower fillers. The problem : when was I supposed to make the 'dtr' (see highlighted area with arrow)? If you can explain this step, I would appreciate the help.
