My First Rednesday

Welcome to my first Rednesday sponsored by suelovescherries.blogspot.com. The first photo is my mothers clothes sprinkler. After bringing the clothes in from the line, she would sprinkle each one with water, roll it up, place in a large plastic bag and place in the refrigerator until she was ready to iron. I have done this more times than I can count. Thank God for the day she bought a dryer!
This is a cookie jar made by Ball. My mother's father gave each of his kids one years ago. This is not Mother's , my sister has that one. But my sister did buy this one for me at an antique store. The lid has been put back on crooked and I have not been able to get it off. Mother used this as a cookie jar up until a few years ago.
These are the apples I bought at a yard sale last weekend.

This is a Spanish doll that I got from Paradise Galleries several years ago. Isn't she beautiful? I have a pink showgirl also. But she will have to wait until Pink Saturday. Paradise Galleries does not have these beautiful dolls any longer which is a shame. I would love to collect more.

What a great first REDnesday post. I'm fascinated by the old sprinklers, but have yet to come across one on my treasure hunting. Love all the cherries on your blog!

Hi Charlotte! Your clothes sprinkler is such a cutie! And I love that cookie jar. I've seen them at antique stores, and never knew that Ball made them. I learn something new every day in blogland! Love those apples too, especially the half eaten one. I hope you share more of your reds next week!
Happy REDnesday!

Charlotte, welcome to Rednesday! I'm with you on the ironing memory - except my mom didn't buy a dryer until after I moved out! Love the sprinkler! The Spanish doll is so pretty, too!

Hey, can you tell me the name of the cherries theme on your Photobucket account? I can't find it!

Are you talking about the header or the background? I got both from The cutest blog on the block. I then added the yard sale sign & ball of yarn using Photobucket editing.

What a wonderful first post! I love the little lady water sprinkler for ironing! I think most of us have memories of our Moms doing this before she ironed! My mom's was a pop bottle with a metal sprinkle head. :)
