Rainy Days and Mondays..

"Rain makes corn, corn makes whisky, whisky makes my baby frisky... "New song by Neil McCoy, "Rain is a good thing". Happy Memorial Day! It's raining here in York, SC. We are still going to cook hamburgers today!

The Mimosa trees are starting to bloom....

Craig and Holly took me and Mother to Stacy's Greenhouse yesterday. He bought me this huge fern...

He bought Mother a flat of impatiens, a foxglove, another daylily and a bouganvilla (spelling?)vine. I bought me some Coleus plants...

A dove has made a nest in this pot on the back porch.

Hope you have a happy Monday!

I had to read your whiskey song to my husband. We both got a good chuckle over it!!
Have a great day in spite of the rain. That is what makes your area of the country so pretty.

I LOVE a rainy day. If it's raining I am one happy girl. Today I've been major HAPPY! I don't think I've heard Neil's song, I'll have to keep an ear open for it!

We finally have here too! There was an exterior water use ban and a lot of forest fires. I hope the rain helps.

You are so lucky to have a mimosa tree, I love mimosa! It smells heavenly!

Thanks for visiting :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DROPPING BY TO SEE ME.
THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS YES THE CLEMATIS PLANT WILL COME BACK EVERY YEAR. THERE IS A SECRET TO PLANTING IT OR SO I WAS TOLD AND IT HAS WORKED OUT TO BE TRUE FOR US....WHEN YOU GO TO PLANT IT, CUT OUT HALF OF THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTAINER...DO NOT TICKLE THE ROOTS AND PLANT IT IN THE CONTAINER ONLY AS DEEP AS THE TOP OF THE CONTAINER. EACH YEAR THE BLOOMS SHOULD GET BIGGER.
I LOVE THE BOUGANVILLA BUT HERE IN OKLAHOMA IT WON'T SURVIVE THE WINTER...SUCH A SHAME BECAUSE IT IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLANT...I GUESS I COULD PLANT IT IN A BIG POT AND BRING IT IN FOR THE WINTER.
I LOVE YOUR BOSTON FERN...I WOULD THINK WITH THE HUMIDITY IN S.C. THEY WOULD GROW QUITE LARGE.
I WAS BORN IN CHARLESTON.
I LOVE YOUR POOL AND HOW YOU PAINTED THE FENCE....FUN...
