Boy, it has been hot here this week and it's not even summer yet! Justin works in this heat every day and is wiped out when he comes home. He puts in fiberglass pools. This is how he looked last week after work...
He has a perfect 'farmer's' tan ! LOL:) Ashton (grandaughter) got a good impression of her bikini top ties...
Even Micki's dog, Foxy, knows to stay indoors...
I've been working on the crocheted tablecloth at night while watching TV. I have 18 more rows to go on the first half and then I have to start the second half....
I finished reading a book by my favorite author, Mary Kay Andrews. The name of this book is "Deep Dish". I have already read her other books, "Savannah Blues", "Little Bitty Lies", "Hissy Fit" and "Savannah Breeze" . Next in line is "Blue Christmas".
I helped Justin get the yard sale set up yesterday afternoon and ready to go. I didn't sleep too good, so I was up at 4:30am. That's when I finished reading my book. I woke Justin up at 5:30 and a little after 6 I started to uncover the yard sale stuff and set everything out. I was going to stay and help Justin with the sale, but Micki called whining about wanting to go to yard sales. Justin told me to go on because that is my normal routine on Saturday mornings. When Micki and I started to leave the house about 6:50, Justin already had a couple and their daughter loading up their vehicle! He said they bought $40 worth of stuff, which is remarkable considering I priced most everything from 25 cents to $5! I meant to take pictures before he started but forgot. :( I took some when Micki and I returned at 11:00. He made $285 !! WooHoo! This included two window air conditioners and some of his tools. A gentleman came back and gave him $10 for what was left. He said he was going to use it in a church auction. We didn't care what he was going to do with it as long as we didn't have to pack it back up! Here are a couple of shots of what was left at 11:00...
This trailer was full when we started.
I couldn't believe the knick knacks that were still here! This is the type of stuff we always look for.
Here's some of the stuff I found at sales this morning...
This funky rooster for mother...50 cents.
Ceramic figurine of two kids trying to use the pot at the same time!....50 cents..
The one with the pink hat had a 'broken' leg, but I didn't see it until I got home. Doesn't matter.
A marble globe...25cents
Two little teacups and saucers...$1 apiece. They both had a 'Japan' stamp on the bottom.
Two plates ..10 cents each. They had "Blue Ridge, Southern Pottery" stamped on the back.
Jiminy Cricket toy..free! It looks old to me.
Two Beatles book...$1 apiece.
Ignore Justin's hairy leg! He wouldn't put the book down long enough for me to get a picture!
A medicine cabinet -$4, two mirrors -$1 each, butterflies for Holly -$2 (they are real butterflies!) and three "Walk Away the Pounds" videos - $1 for all. They have never been opened!
Christmas boxes..50 cents to a $1 apiece. Check out the one that looks like a log! It had an original price tag of $6.99! The butterfly one had a tag of $9.99!!
A miniature Seattle Space Needle..10 cents..
A funky cat...25 cents
I'd like to thank the maker of the pre-priced stickers! They are a life saver when you have a yard sale!
Hope everyone had a good weekend and a Happy Father's Day! I'll go visit Daddy tomorrow at the cemetary. Love you and miss you, Daddy.

Char, the crochet piece is beautiful, is that filet crochet? I am just looking into that I am not quite sure I get it, or what the point is...but this is a lovely piece.

Hi Charlotte,
Thanks for stopping by. I, too, just found Deep Dish. I'm going to start reading it tonight. I discovered Mary Kay Andrews when I got to take a tour of her beach house at Tybee Island back in April. Since then I've read Savannah Breeze, Savannah Blues, Blue Christmas and The Fixer Upper. Don't you just love those books?
Good morning CHarlotte.....I am sorry you had that experience....I am thinking it must have been a Sunday...as that is the pharmacy hours in general on a Sunday....were the hours posted at the window? I know at my hubs store they are.
This was a Saturday morning. Yes, the hours were posted on the window, that's why I sat at the drive thru as long as I did.
