Hi Vikki, I was all WOW over those pictures and called Steve, my hubby to see them, as he works at Sellafield, which is a nuclear plant here in the UK. I showed him the pictures and he says, it's most likely to be steam from steaming the cooling towers as the reactors are water cooled. So hopefully nothing to worry about.
Just thought that might put your mind at rest, as it looks pretty scary!
Oops, Sorry Charlotte, I was just looking back over those pictures again and realised I replied to Vikki's comment in the post above me but I also meant to comment to you as well.
The shape of the steam really does look like a tornado doesn't it and before you said what it really was, that was my first thoughts with those pictures.

That would look scary, and I'm glad I don't live near a nuclear station.
