Rainy days and Monday!

Raining here again this morning! It's bad enough to be Monday but raining also. Oh well, it could be worse - it could be snowing! Yuck!
I have a question for every mother with sons. Once your son married did he change towards you? Does this apply : "A daughter's a daughter all her life, a son's a son til he takes a wife" ? My son has changed so much that now he talks to me and my husband like we are not that important to him anymore. He has even blocked me from Facebook! All I can do is sit back and hope that he soon realizes family is all you have in this world and his mother will love him when no one else will.
I'm sorry to bring such a downer to a day that already sucks, but I just had to talk to someone.
My youngest grandson has an awards program this morning, so maybe that will improve the day. Hope your day is sunnier than mine.

I have 3 children and my middle son is very much the same. He moved out last January and since then he and his partner (who are now expecting in March have become quite distant)I too have been blocked on Facebook! I am very close to all my children, and it is very very hurtful but am hoping with time things will improve. I feel much the same as you but I think all you can do is sit back and wait. I do hope things improve for you soon x Sue x

My son is only 5yrs old but I wanted to give a perspective of a daughter-in-law. It shows what a good job you have done as a mother and he is all credit to you. It might seem like he doesn't need you but it isn't true. you have done a great job so he feels safe that without having to tell you. My hubbys mum wasn't the best to him and now he trys to please her all the time. I'm not allowed to do things for fear of upsetting her. I would just contact him in different ways to say a quick hello. I hope things do improve. he probably doesn't know how you feel and doesn't know where you are coming from.
