Welcome to my blog about yard sales, crochet, my family and my life. A yard sale map in one hand and a crochet hook in the other.

These are a few of my favorite things....

Tried to sound like Julie Andrews ! Didn't work, did it? Anyway, I had a funfilled weekend. First, I finished a crochet project that I had been working just to pass the time. It's called Ten Stitch Tunisian Crochet and the pattern can be found on Ravelry. I made it with some of the yarn hoard and stopped when it was big enough for a lap or baby blanket. I added some cross stitch to liven it up.

We took the boys out to eat last night and I tried to take some pictures, but they didn't want to cooperate.

Today, Pam, Janet, and I went to the flea market and an antique mall.

 Don't you just love her?

How about this headboard made of pallets for inspiration?
Isn't this the ugliest dog? Yep, I bought it!
Found a Mr. Peanut salt shaker....
 ...........a 7-Up Uncola glass................
I'm going to attempt to crochet around these plates. Wish me luck, I'll keep you posted.
Well, that was my weekend, doing what I love best....crocheting and thrift shopping. No yard sales yet but I'm ready!

I love that you took the pics whether the guys cooperated or not! :D When that happens to me, I always tell them I'm taking the pics anyway, so it's up to them how they look. LOL You found some nice things...glad you got to do some thrift shopping! Your afghan is gorgeous as always! You sure do crank those buggers out! :)
