I'm back!

Whew! What a road trip! We got rained out yesterday afternoon, so we headed home. But even though our trip was cut short, we still had a great time. My sister Pam, her husband Ed, their son Walter, and I left Wednesday afternoon around 2:00 pm for Knoxville, Tennessee. We arrived about 7:00 and after getting settled in our rooms, we went to Cracker Barrel for supper. Pam and I found  this for half-off.............

She bought one for her mountain cabin and I bought one for Gavin.
Thursday morning we headed for Cooksville and I-127 for the World's Largest Yardsale! I didn't take a lot of pictures but here are a few. This is the first yardsale we stopped at.............
I had Pam take this picture of me with the fishing rods so I could send to Justin to prove I was looking for something for him! :-)
We thought this would make a great way to go yard saling.............
We had some silly moments...

Isn't this chair upholstered in old quilts beautiful?
Craig asked for something Chevrolet related...............
Mini piglets were adorable but pricey!
 Pam and Ed shopping.....................
I took these two pictures to show Rodney. I have an old bed and crib that I want him to make into benches....

I know what I can do with those jeans that the dryer keeps shrinking!
Sloan is collecting die-cast model cars, so I bought him five......
(the '55 Chevy is really mine!)

Gavin wanted a new acoustic guitar and I got a great deal on this one....
I didn't buy as much as most people would think because I will not pay top dollar for something I know I can get at local yard sales for less. But I did get a few things for myself. A new sign for my kitchen..............
.......two iron cats. I'm going to paint these but not sure where I'm going to put them just yet.
Remember these glass grapes from the 70's?
Finally found me a Pee Wee Herman doll!
 Beautiful parakeet ceramic plate.....................
 ............just because I liked it...............
 ..............Dumbo..............................
..........and a gold miner souvenir from Alaska..............
I brought Justin some fishing lures and some heavy socks.
I can't wait till next year's sale!

Glad you had fun and found some treasures in the process! I especially love the parakeets! So pretty! :)

Oh I would love looking through those sales.
Love all the bargains but the parakeets are my favourite, probably because I have a budgie (parakeet) myself.
