Saturday News

Janet and I went to Gastonia,NC this morning and stopped at a yard sale in Clover,SC. She got a crib for $10 and I found some goodies too. But before I show you those goodies, look what came in the mail! Aunt Clara! She is one of the Richard Simmons dolls I shared with you on this post. I found her on Ebay for $10.99! Isn't she darling?

I'm going to add more of her family to my collection. So, back to the yard sale goodies. A "See and Say" toy for Della...25 cents!
...........a miniature quilt and rack for mama.....10 cents!
...........a Christmas tree for 50 cents..................
.......a dog figurine for either Pam or her granddaughter, Vivien............$1!
........a skein of yarn for 50 cents...................
But my best find that I am so excited about is this globe for $3............
I knew it had some age when I noticed that Russia was identified as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics or USSR!
This is the only information I had to use for research . Guess what I found?
This globe was made between 1960 and 1965. 1962 was the last year LeRoy M. Tolman designed globes for Replogle World Nation Series. It's an antique and worth $200 or more!SCORE!!!!!
Ok, breathe! Onward to Gastonia where we went to Mary Jo's Cloth store. Heaven !! Rows and rows and rows and rows of beautiful fabric. I wish I liked to sew as much as I like to crochet!
Then we went to a new Hobby Lobby. Again, heaven! Lord, help me contain my excitement!
I found some yarn on sale for $2.39 a skein! Of course I brought it home with me!
I found some yarn bobbins and a purse clasp too..............
.............a "Man Cave" sign for Justin (50% off)!
...........this sign says it all ! (50% off)..............This is my statement to Justin and the boys when they call me "bitchy"!
Don't you just love this sign? I couldn't resist.......it too was 50% off!
Now to prop my feet up and rest cause I'm pooped!

Love the Nana doll - she is so cute and I love the little crocheted blanket. Great finds at the yard sale - especially the globe! I haven't been to a craft store lately, and looking at your pictures makes me want to go today just so I can wander around the yarn section. Have a good day Charlotte. :)

Oh MY...love your excursions. I haven't been to any hobby store for so long..being as I became my own distributor for thread I don't have to leave the house to feed my addiction. I may have venture out to Hobby Lobby though..Many blessings...
