Friday finds

I don't normally go to yard sales on Friday, but Janet had texted me Wednesday about one that was on her way to work. So after letting Gavin out at school, I decided to check it out. It was a very nice yard sale and I found another king size comforter set in the colors I want my bedroom painted. They were asking $35 but we negotiated to $25. I'm wanting my bedroom painted in that lovely coral color.
I stopped at another yard sale but their prices were too high and they wouldn't even consider a lower price, so I just turned around and left! I hate going to those type of yard sales!
When I got home I saw that Pam was at Mother's. She usually washes and rolls Mother's hair for her twice a week. I fixed myself a cup of coffee and went next door to visit. I told Pam about an estate sale in the neighboring town of Sharon. So after she finished rolling Mother's hair, she and I went to check it out. Oh my God! We hit the motherload! This was a great sale, inside the house and a outside building. We went through it a second time after we had already bought some things and loaded the car!
I found this box of old crochet magazines (Workbasket, Crochet World, etc) and offered $5 for all.
This vintage pattern was in a bag along with some red yarn, a crochet hook, and a scarf.

These vintage pennants were found on my second go-round. I know a little girl that might want the Brownie one.
Old Maid and Rummy cards. Love the graphics!
 An old photo album....

An envelope full of old pictures....

 Salt and pepper shakers....
A metal tumbler, ceramic cat and a small wooden box....
Look what's in the box! Tiny people!
 Moose and deer heads......
Vintage pin cushion and a ball of size 10 thread....
A small cup with bird attached, a cat playing the cello to go along with the cat playing the saxophone, three pins....
These are lapel pins. There's another Brownie!
What fun! Now to explore all of those old crochet magazines!

Hi, Got my car fixed yesterday with my grandson's help. He brought a battery charger and put it on because I had parked to close to the garage door to jump it off his pickup. He went with me to get my new battery. They definitely look after me. Hubby is doing as well as can be expected. I am so glad that you stopped by. I saw the picture of the four wheeler and it would make me a nervous wreck. They think they can't get hurt but they can. Take care. It is going to be hot today. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri friend. Shirley
