Welcome to my blog about yard sales, crochet, my family and my life. A yard sale map in one hand and a crochet hook in the other.

Saturday finds

Pam, Micki, and I went to a huge church attic sale in the Steele Creek area of Charlotte. It was great! Lots of people but also lots of junk! I paid $8 for all!
Slinky dog from Toy Story.....
1000 yards of my favorite crochet thread and a rock......
....but not just any old rock!
 Thomas Kincaid series Christmas house......
Can you see the people inside?
 It lights up!
 Another one....
It also lights up but the train doesn't move!
A bronze deer and a cast iron "flying cow". The deer doesn't look bronze except on the bottom. Both are heavy!
Two trinket boxes....a bee on flowers and a pocketbook....
 Another hand for my collection.....
The Packers (I think it's a phone case) is for my sister-in-law and an ampersand symbol....
 A vintage Chinese Checkers game.....
 Also has a checkers game....
 Copyright 1958...
We didn't find many yard sales after this one but there was a church yard sale in Rock Hill. How about this faux cake for $1?
Found this "book" box for $1 at another sale......
...and this boot tray for $2.....Justin said he wanted it to use for his tools!
I've been binge-watching the Netflix show, Orange is the New Black, all week! So addictive!
We've also put a deposit down on a cabin in Tennessee for next year's vacation! Hope everyone will be able to go!
