Memorial Day Family Fun

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day! My plans started out to be a quiet day since the boys were supposed to go to school for a snow make-up day, but that quickly changed. First, Rodney called and suggested a small cookout later in the day....just a few hot dogs. I said I had some ribs in the freezer that we could fix also. But then around 8:00pm, Justin informed me that our niece, Jessie, her daughter, Abby, and our nephews, Ricky and Possum (Donald) were on their way from West Virginia! Surprise!! They arrived at 1:30 am and camped out in my living room.
Started the ribs in the oven but finished on the grill. Delicious!
No one knew that Jessie had arrived so this is the picture she and I used to let them know.
Kids went swimming....

After throwing Possum in the pool, the grown men joined him. Stupid men! Jumped in with their clothes on, so they had to change into swim trunks until their clothes dried! Here's Ricky (left) and Possum drying off.
Justin with his sister, Rita and her boyfriend Hank. Jessie's on the porch. Justin still has those famous white feet!
Played horseshoes.....

 .....and cornhole........

......and football....

....drank orange soda.....

.....held babies......

I held Maxel but no one thought to take a picture of me!
Somebody (not going to name) brought some moonshine and Ricky was feeling good before they left to go home to West Virginia.

Luckily he was in the back seat and not driving! We really had a great time and can't wait until we visit them the last weekend in June.
Back to school and work today! Kayla is going for an ultrasound this morning and I will soon know if I'm going to have a great-granddaughter or another great-grandson. Hoping for a girl!

Such fun pictures, Charlotte! Looks like everybody had a great time. I think you're like me in that you're the picture taker and nobody really thinks to get a pic of us once in a while. I always have to tell them to take my pic when it does get taken. Otherwise, nobody would believe I am real. lol Looking forward to hearing whether the new little one is a girl or a boy. Oh, and I also have to say I love Justin's sister's name. :D lol
